Clinical use

• Indications: GERD, erosive esophagitis, hypersecretory states, GI bleeding (IV).
• Usual dose, route, frequency: 40 mg PO daily; IV bolus or infusion for bleeding.
• Maximum dose / adjustments: Reduce in severe hepatic impairment.

Safety

• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity.
• Black box warning: None.
• Interactions: Similar to omeprazole but less clopidogrel interaction.
• Pregnancy / lactation: Use if needed.

Adverse effects
