Pharmacology

Clinical use

  • Indications: Acute flares, severe inflammation, spinal cord injury protocols, transplant.
  • Usual dose, route, frequency: Oral dose pack tapering schedule; IV or IM for acute use.
  • Maximum dose / adjustments: Lowest effective dose; high-dose IV used short term.

Safety

  • Contraindications: Systemic fungal infection.

Adverse effects
